As some of you guys already know, October 22nd marks the official worldwide release of Windows 7. Microsoft's newest operating system for the PC, and successor to Windows Vista in every way it is possible to be a successor.
I just installed Windows 7 Ultimate x64 on my desktop 2 days ago, and i did the same for my laptop this evening. (I got the x86 edition as well, you know what im like. Hehe) I must say, its great. I've been running Windows 7 since the RC was officially released, ever since ive been following the leaked builds and using them on both my desktop and laptop until the actual release.
So you must be thinking, whats the big deal about Windows 7 that TEE-MOR-TEE has to advertise it talk about it on his blog? Well for one, Windows 7 is everything of what Windows Vista could have been, or rather, what it should have been. If you didnt know, Vista was a total flop and it was a kick in the ballz of every PC consumer and alien in the universe which is part of the ultraverse. It was slow, laggy, annoying, irritating and with that kind of price tag? Honestly i wouldnt want it even if you gave me a copy for free. -.-
At first glance, Windows 7 is pretty much Windows Vista with an entirely new make over. Although some of the interfaces are similar, this OS actually runs A LOT smoother and faster than its predecessors, yes i said predecessors which means its even better than Windows XP, which i consider to be the last great OS developed by Microsoft.
All in all, Windows 7 is a fantastic operating system. I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking to invest in a new desktop/laptop from here on end. If you ever buy Vista again after reading this post, then i am sorry to say but you are seriously ignorant and FUBAR. (Go check the internet on what that means if you dont know)
